Beautiful Churches in Manila

Some of the beautiful churches we've visited during the past few days: 1. Chapel of San Pedro Calungsod in SM Aura 2. Reconstructed Manila Cathedral 3. Paco Church - located inside the vicinity of Paco Cemetery. I love this place! Spot.ph just recently posted Top 10 Prettiest Churches in Manila and I was surprised to see our wedding church in the list (more proud to say the church made it to the top 5). It was quite easy for Lester and I to decide to get married here. At first, we considered this church because of its location and privacy since it's located inside West Triangle. But the Church's solemnity and beauty are more inviting that made me feel that this is the place that I want to get married. Happy bride again!

Wedding Detail: My Wedding Shoes

Wedding shoes – probably one of the details most of the brides are excited to plan. Well, probably not me- I am not really a shoe person – more of a bag person. I had a hard time picking the right shoes for me – it wasn’t really my thing. I had a few brands in my list but instead of choosing the “red sole” (Christian Louboutin), Stella Luna or Jimmy Choo, I chose TOMS to be my wedding shoes. Three reasons are: 1.        They are very comfy and I’m sure I can last wearing wedges (but I love how loub’s stilettos are designed) 2.        I’ve been wanting to own Toms. Yeah, my first time to get myself a pair of Toms. But after this purchase, I’m thinking of getting a second pair because… 3.        Personally, I love the idea of donating a pair of shoes for every purchase of Toms. This idea has touched me because aside from myself owning a new pair of shoes, a child can also own a pair of shoes at the same time. I was quite surprised with how the shoes are packaged. It ca

Me Blogging

Thank you for spending time to read my posts. Some of them may be non-sense to you, some may be relevant. I'm just happy expressing herself by sharing my thoughts. Writing started as a past time through diaries, essays for school and now for this blog. I do not intend to make blogging as a living (but if permitted, why not!)- I have a day (or mid-shift) job in a thousand employee organization.  I get inspirations from bloggers out there (can't call them co-bloggers!)- Patty, Alessa, Kelly and some others who express themselves through their blogs. I've written a few blogs even before facebook, twitter and instagram became really popular. But only now that I've decided to be more serious about blogging. Before finishing this entry, I did some research about blogging. Definitely, write ups will be original or sometimes, I may quote from someone. Some of the pictures may not be original but I will link you to where I got them. To the owner/s of pictures I may post in the f

Wedding Inspiration: Wedding Reception

Pictures from google and brideandbreakfast I love rustic and chabby chic wedding themes. It's very feminine, simple and elegant. Chabby chic themes use light colors, more of pastels - pink, peach, pastel green and gray. We're entrusting our reception look to our food supplier. It's much cheaper and still, what's more important is the food! We've requested for lower center tables so our guests will see each other. But even so, table setting doesn't really matter to me. I know my priorities and reception look is quite one of my least.  I enjoy browsing thru blogs and get inspirations. For the past year, google has been my best buddy and bride and breakfast has been my adopted sister. For brides to be out there, keep on reasearching and enjoy looking at wedding pictures. You may not have achieved the kind of look you want on your wedding, but hey! You only plan for your wedding once so enjoy the every moment!

Our Home

Yesterday was a full day for me and my fiance. We went to see our future house up north to measure the dimensions of the bedrooms, kitchen, dining and living rooms. My purpose is to check how little our furniture should be. Our house is quite small, but bigger than regular townhouses in the Metro. We've spent a lot of time looking for the best home that will fit our needs (and wants), failed once and lost around Php 15,000 and after a few months of searching, we have finally gave in to this house up north.  After going to our beloved jewelry maker to bring my jewelry for polishing and give them my design for a customized ring (if you guys need an engagement ring, wedding ring, or customized jewelries - necklace, bracelets or earrings, let me know. We have a trusted jewelry maker in Bulacan and they are very cheap), we went to Manila to finally get our invites. Yes, they are ready for distribution, so we'll be seeing some friends to personally handover our wedding invites. W

Flower Photographs

I'm not a professional photographer. Neither do I own expensive bulky DSLRs. I work with my very cheap digital camera same as my fiance's, do some editing and share them. I just did some googling and found out this online image editor. Free, I hope, for a lifetime, or else, I'm going to force myself learn photoshop and its complicated features. The images above were taken from my camera when we were in my lola's garden in our home province.

Of Travels and Family Pictures

I have been browsing through my external hard disk looking for an inspiration to write about in this blog. And then I saw this family picture of ours way back 2008 when we had a vacation in Bohol - our first time we rode a plane locally for family vacation that we are already complete. Yes, complete. The first time we really had a vacation locally was in Surigao, when I was going to High School but my brother, Carlo was not yet born. I realized how lucky we are to have vacations locally and abroad. Thrifty but fun travels - that was our secret. The last time we rode a non-Filipino owned airplane (CX flight) was way back 2007 when it was Disneyland where everyone wants to go. (I can't find a complete family picture) Since then, we had several, but not too many- travels. I always say this to my younger batch two siblings - Carlo and Clarissa how lucky they are to travel young. I had mine when I was a little over 1 year old when we had to travel more than 6 hours to g
