Project Hennessy: Gate

Okay, I must admit, I am still lazy to choose photos for our wedding photo album. These days, I've been spending time surfing the net to do my research on designing our house. Yes, my husband and I have been planning this since last year and finally, we're almost there.

I learned a lot from my parents in planning our house. Just last year, 6 months before I got married, my family moved in to a beautiful home not far from our old house and a year before the transfer, I saw how my mom and dad prepared for this milestone. They spent weekends in hardware and home furniture shops and used their free time surfing the net to get ideas designing the house.

While Lester and I were in the search of looking for house, my dad introduced me to Houzz.com. It's like a magazine full of house design ideas all over the world. I downloaded the app last year and did a little browsing. For a while, I forgot about this app and was busy preparing for our wedding. And time flew so fast, now that I am using it.

Project Hennessy -that's how I call it (I called our wedding event as Project Whiskey). Though this time, I do not have an excel file with target dates and budgets, we know this is the first thing (or second or third, after choosing the location and price - the design of the house is common in our subdivision) we need to build before we move in - Gate.

Execution will always be the hardest part but I know we'll make this happen. Happy planning everyone, this is fun!

It was an Accident.

It was a Thursday  during my midshift lunch break when Lester and I scheduled to request NSO copies of our birth certificates and CENOMAR. It was very unusual of me riding the jeepney during rush hour going to Glorietta but apparently I saw a short queue at the loading area. I took the ride and jumped off in front of Rustans but the jeepney driver unloaded me on the second lane. I saw this huge bus in front of me while I was trying to cross the street so I decided to cross in front of the bus. I was too close from the bus's front that it hit my right upper arm and lost my balance. When I was almost in control, the bus still did not stop, hit my right arm and fell down on the steel drainage along Ayala Ave. I was still able to manage to get up and immediately called my fiance. I saw him running while holding his cellphone, shouting at the bus conductor. Initial negotiations did not go well that I decided to just go to traffic police station for a blotter and go to the hospital f...

Big Thank You!

This is my long overdue assignment (aside from having my wedding gown dry-cleaned) that I owe from my suppliers for helping us make our wedding a wonderful one.  Rule of Thirds by JR Salonga I read about JR in GirlTalk. I have a list of all other photographers and let Lester decide. Fortunately, they also had a package with ReelHD. Lester and I love our photos. They were full of creativity and we can see his passion in photography through his shots. From our prenup to our wedding, each picture has a story. Yung iba, take pictures as a living. Kay JR, he takes pictures because he loves to, that's it. Kung baga, bonus nalang at binayaran siya. Kita naman sa kuha e. Our wedding was very simple but the pictures are very beautiful. My dad was also very happy with our pictures. Galing daw ng photographer namin! Very professional, though a busy person, he still makes sure to keep in touch to discuss things. How I Made It Thru My Laziness

I woke up one morning and thought, I want to shop! But I was too lazy to get up and dress myself to pass by malls before I go to work. And then, I remembered my good friend Zalora. I wasn't really a fan of buying things online (especially huge amounts) because I feel my credit card might get screwed and might end me owing something I did not purchase. Aside from that, I was also not really very confident that I might not get the right size or it's not the one I bought, or simply, I don't like it at all, pala! Until I knew of someone who has tried this online purchasing and so I tried it.  This is already my second time to buy in Zalora. Remember, after being curious of buying online., this time Zalora helped my PMS-ing issues. :)  Zalora has thousands of goods anything from clothes to shoes to accessories, branded or from the marketplace, for men and of course, for the ladies. My favorites come from Spring Fling and Something Borrowed. Affordable, classy and...
