It's a Girl!


Finally after 30 weeks, Lester and I are happy to announce that we are having a baby GIRL! It took that long because we’re the kind of couple who’s obedient to the OB- have ultrasound when needed. Last time we checked, the OB did not confirm Little Javier’s gender though she told us that this little one is most likely a baby girl. Lester was still positive to have a baby boy- he still has 40-30% chance. But hey, it doesn’t matter- after all, we can still make another one :). 

It must be the genes- my mom gave birth to 5 children- 4 of us are girls and our youngest is a boy (can you just imagine how Little C feels when he’s at home?). Lester was already dreaming of playing with his little one, teaching how to play PS, bike and all those boy stuff while I was already imagining cooking, baking and doing girly stuff with our little Javier- and I won! I remember when I was still on my first and second trimester, I was so into little things for girls that when I go to the mall’s baby section, I would look at pink, light greens and yellow stuff. 

At least now, I know who will inherit my “investments” in the future. And that bag I’ve been wanting- I can pass to my daughter when she’s already a woman :P Oh, but please, little girl, don’t grow too fast.  We still have a lot of bonding time to do.

Lester and I are starting to plan for our daughter- things we need to teach to her, where she will study, and how will we discipline her. My husband even asked me to share how my mom and dad raised us up having four girls – ensuring we’re on the right track. And I said, it’s simple, we started our way to an all-girls school! Haha, of course it wasn’t just that :) I’ll be happy to share how my parents disciplined us but tweak it a little bit because it was different back then.

So far, our little daughter is safe in my womb. She moves a lot when we get home from work. Her size is just right for her age. When my OB told me I can give birth from 37-40 weeks, we were like, “what? That’s less than two months and I still have a lot of work to do!” We have yet to buy her stuff she needs. We have not yet set up her room, she only have a starter newborn set, a few bottles (which I’m not sure if we’re going to use) and our stuff are all over our house and we need to sort our things out. We have yet to get a helper! It doesn’t matter anyway. I’ve learned that newborn babies do not need a lot of stuff for their first few months. We can get our daughter’s other needs when time comes. 

Lester and I cannot wait to welcome our little girl. Now, daddy has two girls in his life. We’re daddy’s little girls! :)

First Plane Ride

Do you remember the first time you rode the plane? Nowadays, it’s very easy for kids to experience their first plane ride as fares are cheaper. Thanks to budget airlines that once had a vision that every person can ride a plane once in their lives. I took my first plane ride when I was 5 years old. Lucky to experience that young, I was with my mom and my sister when all of us rode the plane for the first time to travel. I had no idea what was this travel is all about, even did not have any knowledge where we’re going. All I knew was that, we’re riding the plane and we were going somewhere far where my dad studied his Master’s degree. Not all kids, during that time, had that chance. And definitely, not all kids had the chance to travel to Europe so I am most thankful to my lola (who’s in US) who gave us this opportunity. Here’s my picture back then. My Married Life

Yesterday officially marked our 1 st month as husband and wife. It’s been a while since I have last posted here in my blog. These past few weeks were spent with a lot of errands since the “one week before the big day” started. Ever since I started my two week leave, my life went around preparing for the wedding, packing/unpacking my clothes, practicing loom bands and fixing my name. I think that explains all – why until now, I have yet to do the reviews for my suppliers. And by the way, I have to thank my suppliers once again.  I still owe them big time. I’ll make a separate blog entry about the wedding. Right now, let me just express myself as a newly wedded wife. After the wedding, we enjoyed a 5-day vacation in Bali, Indonesia and went back to reality. Life then became a little different. I started living in Bulacan, well, temporarily in my in-laws.
