Wedding Flashback

My husband and I just came home from vacation in Macau and Hong Kong. But before I share our experience from the “babymoon-anniversary-father’s day” vacation, I’d like to share our flashback photos during our wedding.

It was a simple gathering that our main objectives were simply to bless our marriage, gather our friends and families and enjoy the food. Small program was created and of course, the usual SDE’s by our photographer and videographer were also presented.

It’s been a year since Lester and I have been living together as husband and wife, less than a year since we transferred to our own house and almost 7 months since we’ve been taking good care of this little Javier. We have discovered a lot of things about each other, accepted our differences and thanked the best things about our partner. And all of these things we went through for the past year of marriage we offer to the Lord, our God. He has showered us a lot of blessings- our wedding, this home and this child. Our marriage is really an answered prayer, a reality that God truly showers us blessings at the right time.

It's a Girl!

Finally after 30 weeks, Lester and I are happy to announce that we are having a baby GIRL! It took that long because we’re the kind of couple who’s obedient to the OB- have ultrasound when needed. Last time we checked, the OB did not confirm Little Javier’s gender though she told us that this little one is most likely a baby girl. Lester was still positive to have a baby boy- he still has 40-30% chance. But hey, it doesn’t matter- after all, we can still make another one :). It must be the genes- my mom gave birth to 5 children- 4 of us are girls and our youngest is a boy (can you just imagine how Little C feels when he’s at home?). Lester was already dreaming of playing with his little one, teaching how to play PS, bike and all those boy stuff while I was already imagining cooking, baking and doing girly stuff with our little Javier- and I won! I remember when I was still on my first and second trimester, I was so into little things for girls that when I go to the mall’...

Cooking Fever: Gising-Gising

I cooked this once for my husband to satisfy his spicy taste. I first tried this in Recipes and found it yummy. :) Ingredients: Garlic, chopped Onions (Red), chopped Baguio beans, chopped into pieces Ground Pork Red Chili Pepper, chopped Green Chili Peppers (Siling haba) Coconut milk Salt, pepper and soy sauce to taste 1. Saute onions and garlic. Add the ground pork. 2. Add a little bit of soy sauce to taste. 3. Once the pork is cooked, add Coconut Milk. For this recipe, I used the instant ones (just add water!) but I think it'll taste better if you use those you can buy from the market. 4. Add Baguio beans (not string beans!) and all the chilis - depending on your taste. I used less red ones but separated my share because I'm not really into spicy food (except sisig!) 5. First Plane Ride

Do you remember the first time you rode the plane? Nowadays, it’s very easy for kids to experience their first plane ride as fares are cheaper. Thanks to budget airlines that once had a vision that every person can ride a plane once in their lives. I took my first plane ride when I was 5 years old. Lucky to experience that young, I was with my mom and my sister when all of us rode the plane for the first time to travel. I had no idea what was this travel is all about, even did not have any knowledge where we’re going. All I knew was that, we’re riding the plane and we were going somewhere far where my dad studied his Master’s degree. Not all kids, during that time, had that chance. And definitely, not all kids had the chance to travel to Europe so I am most thankful to my lola (who’s in US) who gave us this opportunity. Here’s my picture back then.
