On-the-Day Wedding Coordinator

Recently, engagements here and there are happening and wedding planning was the second best part of getting married (aside from of course, "getting married"). When Lester and I were starting the wedding plans, we initially thought of getting my sister and cousins to help me on our wedding day because we were carefully planning which of the expenses we can eliminate. After a couple of bookings for suppliers, we realized that on-the-day wedding coordinator is really a must. Thanks to my sister-in-law for sending us budget that we were supposed to put for musicians but we opted to use it for OTD. :) Budget tip: It's always a big help and it's not bad to receive wedding budget help from your families and friends :) But use it wisely!  However, there's a big responsibility behind getting an OTD. Still, you must do your planning carefully, and everything must be in order. I suggest to extensive research on wedding planning. There are lots of checklists, wedding time...

Bali Vacation Day 1

Lester and I wanted to have our honeymoon out of the country and the place that only came in our minds was Bali. Located in Indonesia, Bali is an island and a province where most of the population are Hindu. And that made my husband also agreed to go to Bali since their food is pork and not beef (most parts of Indonesia are Muslim so pork is rarely available). We stayed in Centra Taum Seminyak Hotel. We kind of splurged for our accommodation. The hotel is nice, although an old building, interiors are clean and the rooms are really big. We added a little to get a poolside view for us to enjoy the balcony. Bali has lots of reasonable-priced hotels that are really great. If you're patient enough, your will find villas (those you will have your own pool) and pay as low as Php 4,000 per day. I was able to score one, but unfortunately, payments weren't convenient so I chose Centra Taum instead. Lester is not really a beach lover so we're okay not having beach front. We're ...

How I Made It Thru My Laziness

I woke up one morning and thought, I want to shop! But I was too lazy to get up and dress myself to pass by malls before I go to work. And then, I remembered my good friend Zalora. I wasn't really a fan of buying things online (especially huge amounts) because I feel my credit card might get screwed and might end me owing something I did not purchase. Aside from that, I was also not really very confident that I might not get the right size or it's not the one I bought, or simply, I don't like it at all, pala! Until I knew of someone who has tried this online purchasing and so I tried it.  This is already my second time to buy in Zalora. Remember, after being curious of buying online., this time Zalora helped my PMS-ing issues. :)  Zalora has thousands of goods anything from clothes to shoes to accessories, branded or from the marketplace, for men and of course, for the ladies. My favorites come from Spring Fling and Something Borrowed. Affordable, classy and...

Post Long Weekend Reflection

A few weeks ago, I read Patty Laurel's blog about her reflection on Phil Dooley as he preached in Hillsong Sidney and her takeaway: Compare less, contemplate more . It was really a very good timing when I read about this blog because I am at a part of my life wherein I keep on comparing things and so and now that I am married, I still drool over elegant, chic and rustic wedding set ups, beaded gowns and beautifully arranged bridal bouquet and that sometimes I was thinking I should've done this and that. But realizing this things, I stopped regretting, instead, I take them as inspirations for anytime soon I may celebrate a silver wedding with my husband. And instead of envious of friends getting engaged with humongous blings, I look back and remember the time of my life when I received mine from my ex-boyfriend. And when I see drool over big time supplied-wedding, I still realize that at then end of the day both of us still got married and I'm sure both of us enjoyed th...

Monday Thoughts

So many things have been happening recently and I guess, things are so overwhelming. So many things have changed - my family lived in a new house, I got married, I transferred in a new office building- not work (which was easier), I transferred to my husband's house temporarily, I get to spend time with the Manipons only twice a week, sometimes, one and a half and a lot more. These I consider trials as the universe will always say, nothing's constant but change. I'm very much settled living temporarily in my in-laws but in a few we will be (or I will be... again) transferring in our own house. We made a visit yesterday in our house and it's already locked- sign that our move will be very soon. Having that, I realized I need to get more organized- I need to learn more about time management - my weakness. I still need to know how can I balance work, friends, family (both sides), married life - and soon my kids and of course, myself. I guess prioritization is the key- ...

Engagement Photos

Location: Picasso Boutique Residences, Makati City Photographer: JR Salonga - Rule of Thirds HMU: FroilanErik Artistry Three months before the wedding, Lester and I together with JR and Nilo, did our Engagement shoot in Picasso Boutique Residences. The only requirement we had in mind was the gym. Yes, love story started getting fit but long before they met, these two people have connection. Way back in college, they had the same school, the same course, same set of professors, and common friends but never knew each other.. But even before they grew up as a kid, they already had something in common - birth dates! Who would've thought that two persons, born exactly one year apart will end up together forever? Only, Him. :)

Project Hennessy: Gate

Okay, I must admit, I am still lazy to choose photos for our wedding photo album. These days, I've been spending time surfing the net to do my research on designing our house. Yes, my husband and I have been planning this since last year and finally, we're almost there. I learned a lot from my parents in planning our house. Just last year, 6 months before I got married, my family moved in to a beautiful home not far from our old house and a year before the transfer, I saw how my mom and dad prepared for this milestone. They spent weekends in hardware and home furniture shops and used their free time surfing the net to get ideas designing the house. While Lester and I were in the search of looking for house, my dad introduced me to Houzz.com . It's like a magazine full of house design ideas all over the world. I downloaded the app last year and did a little browsing. For a while, I forgot about this app and was busy preparing for our wedding. And time flew so fast, now ...
